By accessing or using PocketSafe ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PocketSafe is a personal finance management application that helps you track your spending, budgets, and net worth. The App connects to your financial institutions through third-party services and stores all data locally on your device.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Financial Data

The App allows you to connect your financial accounts through Plaid. By using this feature, you:

  • Authorize Plaid to access your financial data on your behalf
  • Understand that your financial data is stored only on your device
  • Accept that we do not have access to your financial data
  • Agree to Plaid's terms of service and privacy policy

5. Subscriptions and Payments

PocketSafe offers both free and paid subscription tiers. For paid subscriptions:

  • Payments are processed through Apple's App Store
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings
  • Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the App
  • Interfere with the App's security features
  • Use the App to transmit malware or harmful code
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PocketSafe and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The results obtained will be accurate or reliable
  • The App will meet your specific requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

PocketSafe is a personal finance tracking tool and does not provide financial advice. We are not liable for:

  • Any financial decisions you make based on the App
  • Data loss due to device failure (your data is stored locally)
  • Inaccuracies in data provided by your financial institutions
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
